During the Doll Exhibition periods in spring & autumn, the goshuin pilgrimage seal is issued with a special doll stamp.

Calendar of Rituals and Events at Hokyo-ji Imperial Convent
Centering on Kyoto dolls, the exhibitions feature both new and old dolls from different parts of Japan. It is also noted for its gorgeous display of life-size dolls.
It is hoped that this graceful world of dolls will give the visitor comfort and peace of mind.

| Description | As the opening event of the Spring Doll Exhibition, a Doll Festival performance will take place at the Main Hall. An elegant dance performance by an elaborately costumed Tayu (courtesan) from the Shimabara district of Kyoto, and a performance of traditional musical instruments will be dedicated to Sho Kannon, the sacred Bodhisattva of compassion ●Please refrain from taking photos or videos. |
